Bringing the heart, soul and beauty of domestic horses into the light
For centuries, horses have played an integral role within society loyally helping their humans without question from going to battle to being a trusted friend. I’m sure you will agree that there are some truly remarkable horses within our world. I often hear many beautiful stories of horses helping to open the hearts of their owners, heal others or go above and beyond having remarkable adventures with their owners. The Heart Horse project is an exhibition project which will showcase these special horses and show their beauty, heart and soul as well as give owners a chance to own a beautiful fine art portrait which will be forever treasured. Bringing your special heart horse into the light to share with the world.

WHAT’S INCLUDED
01 / CREATE
I will find out all about your horse from the application form. If initially selected to the shortlist we will then arrange a phone call, where I will chat in more detail about the photography commission project and you can ask any questions you may have.
Once we book a date in the diary I will begin to develop some ideas and a plan for your photography commission. On the day of the photography commission, I will capture artwork which explores the beauty and soul of your horse, capturing their character and everything you love about them to be displayed in the exhibition.
02 / REVEAL
It takes two weeks to carefully edit and create your fine art photographs for the first time. I offer flexible viewings online via google meet or at your home. I will be there to guide you and help you choose your complimentary 12 x 8-inch print and exhibition print to be displayed in the exhibition.
You will have the option to purchase additional artwork from my beautiful range of handmade archival frames, print boxes, albums and wall art to suit your home curated especially for my Heart Horse clients.
03 / GIFT
As a thank you for being part of the project, you will get the choice of either a 12”x8” fine art print or £150 print credit to go towards additional artwork from my beautiful range of handmade frames, albums and wall art to suit your home.
You and your guests will be personally invited to my Heart Horse exhibition open day to celebrate and view the exhibition of beautiful artworks and read about the horses and their owners who are featured in the exhibition.

My most popular locations where I am commissioned regularly to photograph clients’ horses are Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and Yorkshire which is near my studio in the North West Pennines, however, I am happy to travel to other areas of the UK

I do have availability for a limited number of international commissions, it is recommended that you book at least 3 - 6 months in advance for international commissions to ensure my availability.

Over the last 15 years, I have worked with many horses. All with big personalities, quirks and charms! I love photographing all horses and have lots of patience and I have developed some tricks and tools when working with horses so there’s no need to worry!

Our British weather is very unpredictable, I always do a weather check a few days before the commission, if it’s forecast to be wet and muddy then I always recommend that with reschedule the photography commission. If we suddenly have a sudden downpour on the morning of the commission and it looks like it’s here to stay then I always ask my clients to message me to let me know before I set off, and we will reschedule to a sunnier day.

I often get clients worried that their yard is not pretty enough, not large enough and not right for a fine art photography commission. Please do not worry, we will have lots of planning conversations, you don’t need large green spaces on your yard to make your photographs beautiful, I have never been to a yard which I am not able to create beautiful photographs. You also have the option to travel with your horse to a special location too if you prefer.

Whilst my priority is to create beautiful printed artwork for my clients that they will love for a lifetime, all artworks, albums and prints which are purchased come with digital copies of the photographs.
