A few weeks ago I was invited by Mara Robinson to talk about encaustic photography on her season 2 podcast called Is that really photography? Which is about alternative photography processes. Initially, my gut reaction was to run for the hills as this was totally out of my comfort zone but after lots of encouragement, I decided to bite the bullet and do the Podcast! Encaustic Photography & Creativity
We talked about Encaustic photography and my photographic journey from police photography to a Fine Art Equine Photographer and my need to be creative. I was a little nervous at first and must admit that I had a sleepless night before the podcast too but as soon as I began chatting with Mara she made me feel at ease and I felt like I was chatting to an old friend.
I think the fact we are both passionate about photography helped so at times I forgot I was actually being recorded!
I think the takeaway from this short blog post is in order to grow we must go out of our comfort zone from time to time. I highly recommend it! : )
